Blood Pressure - Low

DiscretionaryIf the donor is in good health and does not have faints or dizzy spells, accept.
Additional InformationLow blood pressure is not normally a problem. It is common in women and seems to be linked with levels of the female sex hormone oestrogen.

Low blood pressure can be caused by serious heart disease. In such cases a donation would not be taken.

Fainting can put a donor at risk of injury. Any donor who has problems with faints or dizzy spells should not donate.
