Q.Can e-learning be used as a means of delivering training?
A. The MHRA have confirmed that they have no issue with using e-learning for delivering training per se. There are obviously some situations which better suit this form of training more than others. As a form of basic training for general principles and as an assessment of background knowledge this mode is acceptable.
What would not be acceptable is where the assessment questions at the end of the module are used as a means of assessing competence in relation to collection and delivery of components or using e-learning as the only means of delivering technical training.
E-learning, is therefore acceptable as a means of delivery of training but not as a means of assessing competency.
