Additional Information | The risk associated with a general anaesthetic is increased in people with asthma. Taking a donation from a person with symptomatic asthma will lower the amount of oxygen the blood can carry and could make them worse. Steroid therapy can hide the signs and symptoms of infection. Stem cells from an infected donor could be dangerous to the person receiving them. |
