Malaria occurs from May to October, mainly in the south-eastern part of the country, the Syria and Iraq borders and in the Cukurova Plain east of Adana.

There is no malaria risk in the main tourist areas in the west and south-west of the country.

Visitors to the popular tourist resorts served by the airports in Bodrum, Antalya and Dalaman can be accepted.
