Additional Information

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet drug which is used in the treatment and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Occasionally Clopidogrel is used for primary prevention in patients who are intolerant of or hypersensitive to aspirin. The risk of bruising after blood donation while on Clopidogrel is not known, so any donor on this medication should be deferred, even if they are otherwise eligible.
